Knowledge transfer before a key person retires
When a senior specialist retires, the reasoning leaves with them. Structured filmed interviews capture the judgement that written documentation never holds.

Handover periods are usually planned around tasks and systems. What rarely gets captured is judgement: how the person reads a situation, which risks they weigh, and why they reject the obvious answer.
That knowledge does not surface in a checklist. It surfaces in conversation — particularly when the person asking does not already share the assumptions.
Starting early matters. In the final weeks the calendar is full and the person is already mentally elsewhere. Six to twelve months out, there is room for reflection.
Typical situations
- A specialist retiring within the year
- A single point of failure in a critical role
- A founder or long-serving manager stepping back
- Technical judgement in production or maintenance
- Customer relationships built over decades
- Roles where written routines exist but explain nothing

One or several sessions, recorded on site in a working environment.
- 04Editing and chaptering
Material is cut into searchable chapters by theme and situation.

Frequently asked questions
How early should we start?
Six to twelve months before the last working day. Later is still worthwhile, but the final weeks leave little room for reflection.
Why not document it internally?
Colleagues share the person's assumptions and skip the very things a newcomer needs. An external interviewer asks the naive questions.
What does it cost?
From SEK 60,000 for one person and one recording day. Interview series are SEK 90,000–180,000 depending on scope.
Is the material used in practice?
It is when it is chaptered by situation rather than delivered as a two-hour recording. That is why editing is part of the work.
Can the material stay internal?
Yes. Company material is delivered for internal use and is never published by us.
